I installed today Karmic Alpha 4 (Alternate, i386) to my home test server.
There was a nVidia problem, test server has built-in chip (VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation C68 [GeForce 7050 PV / nForce 630a] (rev a2))), but that was quite easy to fix. I have two NICs on that server (Ethernet controller: 3Com Corporation 3c905C-TX/TX-M [Tornado] (rev 78) / Ethernet controller: nVidia Corporation MCP67 Ethernet (rev a2)) 3Com is eth0, nVidia is eth1. After all there was no dhcp3-server - I did install it after CD installation, then thin client (HP Mini 2130) works just fine. I tested ltsp-build-client, too. It worked well, too. Is this a bug or feature - no dhcp3-server when doing installation from Alternate CD? I think I do another installation... admin-lt...@ubuntu-ltsp5:~$ apt-cache show ltsp-server-standalone "Description: Complete LTSP server environment This is the complete environment including a DHCP server to bootstrap the clients."
