What you might want to look around for are web-based equivalents. The content doesn't necessarily need to be free. If it's standard web-based stuff then it won't matter whether your students are using Windows, linux, Macs or whatever. The standard format for distributing courseware these days is called SCORM. You can buy in courseware and use a learning platform of your choice to present it to users. Moodle has pretty good support for delivering SCORM content. If you can find SCORM compliant content that suits your needs, you can use moodle as your learning environment and let the users use it via a web browser on any platform.
