Although I can't offer any help based on your message I have a couple of comments. First, we need to know more specifics about your hardware. Off the top of my head I'd say your video card is suspect. Second, 5.10 is over a year old; I'd suggest getting 6.10 if you have access to a broadband connection and a CD burner. Third, re:flame-bait, don't worry about getting flamed, no excuses necessary.
