That is good news, but are you serious? Dell is a "preferred vendor" at MIT so I see rather alot around the lab I need to support, but I do my best to talk people out of it even though it means a bit more paperwork. They never *really* tell you what's going to be in the box and often change componets like the disk contrroller with in the same model. As linux supports more and more haredware this is becoming less and less of an issue. But hands down Dell has been the worst vendor I've seen for compatibility, granted this just in time use what's cheap strategy lets them build to a very low price point. :Lets collect and send Dell some greetings for this fine step! Well yes lets do that in droves, if the box comes with linux on it then they have to consider linux compatibility, adn it is hard to beat their low end systems on price.
