Hi All,

I sent this to Erik, possibly help others who are not happy with command line.

Hi Erik,

Open Synaptic, The go to Edit, Add CD-ROM, it will ask you to insert a disk
into the drive, you don't have to close the cd drive, as synaptic will do this
for you, when you have the cd in the cd-drive tray, hit enter, this will take
the cd in and then read the information from the cd that synaptic requires.

It might ask you for a name of the cd, if it does, call it Something like
"Edubuntu 7.04 Add On CD", it will ask if you want to add another cd, click on
NO, now wait for Synaptic to sort itself out, and then you should see on the
bottom left that your amount of packages has been added to.

Hope this helps

William

Try to manually add CD's content to the repository:

apt-cdrom add [-d=/mount/point]
