Thanks for the tip.  I think when I emailed Oliver back I only sent it to him
personally, I always forget to reply-all on this list.  Anyhow, sudo apt-get 
remove
sabayon fixed everything.  I'll have to remember that for when I try to play 
with it in
the future :-)
