Has anyone managed to get local apps working yet? I would like to run Firefox and associated apps such as flash and java locally with sound support. Is this possible yet or does much of the work still need to be laid out? I am running the 64-bit version and Flash/Java support under 64-bit Firefox isn't exactly great. So I thought if I could load these apps locally I could get away with the 32-bit versions of the OS while offloading these tasks from the server.
I know I could run 32-bit FF on the server, but I will be running 110 clients and am not sure if the 32-bit version will scale well enough. I currently have flash working under 64-bit with nswrapper, but sound is broken and I still don't know what to do about Java.
