Excuse me for cross posting but I got not response on the ltsp-discuss list.

I would much rather have everything running on Linux. (No need for another server /higher load on current server using VMware machine.) I have Crossover Office installed. At home on my Ubuntu Feisty desktop I have installed one program and it seems to run ok. At school on K12LTSP6 (Fedora 6) I was unsuccessful installing a similar program. Now assuming I can get the programs to run on the server, how do I get sound to the terminals? Will it automatically redirect or do I have to change the audio output for crossover office? I have tried using the esd driver without success for MSPowerpoint. Pulse Audio sounds promising. Running multimedia apps over the network lead to subpar performance. I am hoping that pulse audio will fix this problem. What is the position of pulse audio at present? Can I run my Windows multimedia programs successfully on terminals using Crossover Office and pulse audio? If so are there any tips how to do it? As well as the K12LTSP6 server at school, I also have and edubuntu VM that I can use for testing, if changing to Ubuntu might solve my problems. Thanks.
