Let me know if you get a solution. I need the setup you mention. I may try it this way:
Install just one hard drive 20 gig. boot from Gparted cd and wipe the drive clean install Ubuntu 6.10 on to only 10gig hard drive finish install, reboot a few times, browse web remove 20gig hd Install a different 2gig hard drive install client for Edubuntu to boot from that install 20gig as master drive, 2 gig as slave use Gparted boot CD to copy 2 gig partion to empty space on 20gig edit grub so that it dual boots i think this last step is the hardest step, beyond my current skill set. > >Message: 2 >Date: Sat, 11 Aug 2007 08:41:57 +0200 >From: Philippe Rousselot <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: regular ubuntu + thin client on the same PC >To: Edubuntu Users Group <[email protected]> >Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed > >Hi, > >is there a tutorial somewhere on how to set up a pc runing ubuntu able >to boot either on its local ubuntu or as a thin client from the grub >menu. the machine does not have a bootable network card from the bios. > > >tia > >Philippe > > > >------------------------------ > >-- >edubuntu-users mailing list >[email protected] >Modify settings or unsubscribe at: >https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/edubuntu-users > > >End of edubuntu-users Digest, Vol 15, Issue 18 >********************************************** -- edubuntu-users mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/edubuntu-users
