I'd say that's a bug, though I don't have a gutsy system to hand to look at. If I run: rdesktop -u -a 15 -f <hostname> the connection fails. Suggestions: 1. If you have a username you can pass, do. 2. If you don't want to pass a username, modify /opt/ltsp/i386//usr/lib/ltsp/screen.d/rdesktop and remove the "-u $USERNAME" (or whatever it says), rebuild the image and reboot the thin client.
