Hi everybody, I know this has been addressed before but I cannot find instaructions on how to overcome it. I am a bit of a noob on this. I have an edubuntu server 7.04setup with 40 thin clients. I installed the 32bit version of the server and have installed 8GB RAM on my Tyan s2925 with a dual Opteron 1220. Only 3.4GBof RAM are recognized. I know there is a solution that you enable some feature in the kernel. Questions: 1. COuld someone please point me towards some tutorial on how to do that? Has anyone tried it before? 2. Everyone of my users is pulling 150MB RAM for nautilus. Is this normal? My clients have 512MB RAM and are dual core celerons. Is there a way to let the clients do more processing?
