Sorry, I should be more specific. My guess is that it has to do with SDL running on thin clients. SDL is common to tuxmath, gcompris, tuxtype and tuxpaint. It sounds like SDL on thin clients is common to all of these reported issues. http://www.libsdl.org/ "Description: Simple DirectMedia Layer SDL is a library that allows programs portable low level access to a video framebuffer, audio output, mouse, and keyboard." Perhaps we need to talk to them on their mailing list. The difficulty will be getting a little more data so they know what's going on. When you say it crashes, the entire thin client locks up, right? Does it reboot, can you press <ctrl><alt><F1> and get a console or is the entire machine locked. If you press the caps lock key, does the light come on? Can you reproduce this without sound? > I probably should have mentioned that I have the machines doing > auto-login with this version of LDM http://alburg.net/ldm That certainly shouldn't be a problem. With Gutsy, you should be able to do this straight in the standard ldm within edubuntu. There apparently was some bug in this but that has since been fixed.
