Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what changed with gutsy that would make the couple lines I put in /etc/profile be ignored? I have these lines in the /etc/profile script to add easy access to users network shares, which worked in Feisty... #Setup Bookmark to Network shares echo "smb://MySambaServer/$USER">~/.gtk-bookmarks echo "smb://MySambaServer/public">>~/.gtk-bookmarks
I did some research and thought it was the /etc/xdg/autostart/user-dirs-update-gtk.desktop so I disabled that from running by removing it from the autostart directory. Now if I delete a test account's home directory and logon fresh there is no .gtk-bookmarks file created, which I would think should happen in the /etc/profile script?
