Hi oe1,
I'm running Edubuntu 7.10 in a primary school lab with 10 similar clients
(P3/650 with 128 Mb) on a P4 3.20 Ghz with 1 Gb. They run without a glitch, but
since we'd like to be just sure everything is running smnooth, I think we'll
upgrade to at least 2 Gb. In case we'll add 10 more client (totalling 20
clietns) we'll probably pop 4 Gb in, just to be sure.
I undesrstand 8.04 is asking more ram, but since 7.10 is stable enough fotr our
needs, I think we'll keep our configuration for next year.

Hope it helps, regards
Sergio.

hi all,

my son's school has computer lab with 15 p3s with 128mb ram. they'd like to
get a terminal server (running edubuntu) that could support their lab.
ideally, they'd like to get a server that would allow the terminals to all run
flash or all run gcompris.

what kind of terminal server specs am i looking at? would a quad core 2 GHz
with 4mb of ram get it done?

thanks,

oe1
