Hi Edubuntu users and developers! In a bit more than a month, the current Edubuntu Council's term will be coming to an end and will be up for renewal.
It's unlikely that we'll do re-elections, we will probably have one or two current council members stepping down because of other responsibilities, life changes, etc. You may nominate yourself or someone else to be part of the Edubuntu Council. General character traits that make a good council member: * Patience and understanding * Willingness to engage in community and technical matters (you don't need to be an expert in any of these areas, it's more about attitude) * Be generally available for meetings, especially when Edubuntu Council meetings are scheduled * A desire to make Edubuntu (and Ubuntu) better for our users in terms of the actual system, our community and the greater Ubuntu eco-system. To be eligible for nomination, a person needs to be an Edubuntu member first. A nominee is also required to create a platform on their Ubuntu wiki page explaining why they would like to serve on the Edubuntu Council and list any skills or contributions that are relevant. When your wiki page is complete, add your name to the EC 2010/2011 section on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Edubuntu/Council Also, please ensure that your contact details on Launchpad or your wiki page is current. Thanks! -Jonathan on behalf of the Edubuntu Council -- edubuntu-users mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/edubuntu-users
