How did you update your system from 10.04-->10.10? When I tried to upgrade from 9.04-->10.04 last spring I couldn't even get the thin clients to boot so I had to do a fresh install. Sounds like Edubuntu has come a long way in a short time. Being able to do this flawlessly would be a huge step. I suppose you have tried to go through the whole process of completely removing Firefox and plugins, re-installing firefox and plugins? About the sound, good luck on that, I just keep trying different permutations of settings under system-->preferences-->sound. Let me know if you get this one cracked. Good Luck.
