Gnome Fallback was designed to be the 2D fallback of gnome-shell. It's developed by Gnome upstream and AFAIK there's no plan to deprecate it. Quite a few people are actually re-implementing the old gnome 2.x features on top of it. As far as Edubuntu is concerned, we'll continue to ship it as an option in our installer as long as it's maintained by someone (Ubuntu, Debian or Gnome upstream). - -- Stéphane Graber Ubuntu developer http://www.ubuntu.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJOpEy8AAoJEMY4l01keS1n5D4P/3HIynkUq5tTOYF4qIXZeDnS tRRUJA5E2LTwIDnX2qaDPewE/fOgj+bjd4b37gG7waDoJEGTi5GqTLs/g8P7Ckft YnFdLJjEhRATBoKKWzuyZ7a2Uq2pej2o1AjUbABeeAkifwzHmWj739t5pL4QGAyE T6/W3wGyctqBEGOFwdSobUipymNAh9soKI2TzvWLy1dHASEn9zmcruPAR04raVPI GKkVieX2euiuzzO5n8Bn7qgFJqMQce5XECuG8+yUHdYfp2cJJtht0fyJTP7IFgYk uGaWPAj7uqEJZZoOyRHbJpznyUFTAWdP4X9CRkk30/GHa75UV3gyZZNdnB3ADW8f hSLw9YJLPyHLlNXpN/2xJBNDW9nRCH611dOmCegOhEFdH4kdf/fRBQGceFuegXf4 1OKyerTU1xZTq8vX3VgaRScVCLiySmV25E3Ltf5xOo967xdF6+qIss7Y61KkaM8B E9/So/gqkT1qIQiV5zgjV7T6ljP4LztqcgFUzoR8QsP9wPOiF9ACJZ2O/DBMqldZ n7eQ89cGXdXCOZWHxw7odITmgW0zqbKgW4RyCgr745uW93oGXOD2vTVCCFCcmZqB tngwCBdNWGo1li0eylhrYc0VFytiU1vp3kA77Ih9ZI3tlBk1jrb71TE5Ku6YVsG/ sYgkNKHGEFMqt7nMQA59 =2pML -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- edubuntu-users mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/edubuntu-users
