Dear all - (thanks Graeme for spearheading this, and thanks Floor for offering assistance etc.)
We (as a global movement) really need to be mapping all this great work (and ideas) in a systematic way. The Education Co-op (in formation) may be an appropriate catalyst for this, but there may be scope beyond this grouping. I say this mainly because the co-op is still in the process of seeking clarity in terms of its goals and scope. At present, the co-op seems to be focused mainly on higher education (18+) but we need clear(er) guidelines for work in Education setting with people who are under 18 and even under 16, if not under 11. I mention this latter category because I saw a fabulous presentation in India from under 11s a couple of years ago, and I'm sure there are others I/we don't know anything about. WMUK is aware of at least 4 MediaWiki projects in Universities (not schools - terminology may be problematic across different countries) that are not Wikimedia wikis. I'm fairly certain that there are others we don't know about, but it would be great if we could map these, especially as part of a more global effort.
