Hello everyone, I’m pleased to announce Open edX’s first remote meetup will be on Thursday, August 25th from 2pm-3pm EST. Please join us then in the #remotemeetup channel on Slack!
The other popular time slot was 10am-11am EST, so we’ll be switching back and forth between the two. If both of those times are bad for you, please contact me with a full list of doable times, in EST, and we’ll try our best to accommodate you. Our first meetup will be focused on the roadmap for Open edX. Product Manager Marco Morales will give a presentation on our current roadmap followed by a Q&A. There was so much interest in hearing more about the roadmap that we’ve decided to make it a regular feature of our meetups. Each meetup will have a short (5-10 minute) roadmap update in addition to that week’s topic. You don’t have to RSVP to the meetup, but if you’re planning I would appreciate an email, just so I can get a sense of how many people to expect. While you’re emailing me, feel free to introduce yourself if you haven’t already. :) See you on the 25th!
