Hi everyone, We are trying to set up our own edx site and notice that there is no scalable course categorization feature available. Searching around this forum produced some simple hacks by other users for small scale categorization. I'd like to think this feature is pretty basic and essential (there are several other people requesting it) for wider adoption of the edx platform. It looks like the general edx site has it https://www.edx.org/course?course=all but they are using Drupal to implement this.
Is there any active effort going on to implement this feature? If so, can someone please let me know the timeline to implement this? Perhaps I can assist to make it go faster. If not, I would like see if I can contribute and add this feature to open edx. While I'm not an expert python/django developer, I've implemented similar feature in php. I know I can hack in a categorization feature to edx but would rather see it done properly so everyone can benefit.
