Hey all, I'm working on upstreaming an API endpoint originally created by Appsembler (thanks!), and I've just opened this work-in-progress PR <https://github.com/edx/edx-platform/pull/15006> for it. It's essentially a thin wrapper for an existing view used in the instructor dashboard to facilitate bulk enrollments. Please see the description of the PR - I've included details explaining its utility, the problem it's trying to solve, and a comparison with the existing enrollment endpoint.
I believe it's good value added for the amount of code and risk involved, and that this will help those in the community who have a need for high volume synchronization of enrollment changes with an external service.
