as far as i recall LTI is not supported on mobile

as for the rest of your questions 
- both apps are native apps (iOS & Android).
- edx.org reports that 94% of their courses are mobile-friendly, so they 
skipped "mobile friendly" flag and displays all courses in the app. the 
only thing is that for the unsuported content it displays a link to open it 
in the browser.
