Resolved. This happened due to and outdated cdn. I replaced //cdn.mathjax.org/mathjax/2.6-latest/MathJax.js
with http://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/mathjax/2.7.0/MathJax.js in my project and issue was resolved.
