We stopped using the edx-certificates repo because it was too hardcoded. Since Dogwood version we use the webview certificates. I got the chance to see these Standford changes live with some examples with Steve in Madrid and it makes a complete new difference comparing with the old version. Now it is much more configurable, so we may try it.
