Sorry to late too respond, Please try to get rid of GUI boot mode, that is change the grub (or /rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst) as follows; title OpenSolaris 2009.06 snv_111b X86 bootfs rpool/ROOT/opensolaris kernel$ /platform/i86pc/kernel/$ISADIR/unix -B $ZFS-BOOTFS module$ /platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_archive in my case it make my Eee booted from 4GB A-data SDHC.
