Hi

I tried to install OpenSolaris build 99 on my Eee 701.it fail to boot
up and
says kernel and module files are not found (error 15) and then it
stops to boot-up.
at first time I thought It is gconfd problems (I wrote indiana-disuss
about it)
but It forgot reading update problems -it can be ignored while
installation.

======

3740 installer runs into GNOME failures in bld 99
http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=3740

        When starting the installer from the live CD, an error message
        box is displayed

                An error occurred while loading or saving configuration
                information for gui-install. Some of your configuration
                settings may not work properly.

        Also, the date and time in the installer's Time Zone, Date and
        Time screens may be incorrect and cannot be changed to the
        correct date.

        Work-around:

                The error message should be ignored, and the date and
                time can be reset after installation.

========

I tried to "re"-install build 99 on my 701 using gcofd workaround
(bugID 2980),but I failed again to boot-up.
by the way,I tried to install on Virtualbox used on my Macbook
ignoring gconfd problem,
it succeed to install but it found cpu error while boot-up in my
Virtualbox.
Perhaps I guess you know Eee 701 has cpu control using BIOS (you know
it has 900MHz CPU
but actually works 630MHz),so does anyone succeed in installation?I
now using BIOS 910,I guess
someone would succeed using 705 bios -it can change CPU speed on its
menu.
