Allez les gars, un peu de courage.
Ma copine CJ a fait un beau rsum du chat de Tribune...

For those who couldn't make it, this is a brief summary of some of the key
points from the Tribune chat with Phil Segal earlier this evening. The full
transcript will probably be posted tomorrow at http://efc.com:

* On Leni Parker's status next season: "Leni's decision to leave the show
happened after we had constructed the Boone arc."

* On whether Anita La Selva will be returning in Season 5 as a regular cast
member: "No, not as a regular only as a special guest star."

* On Robert Leeshock's status in Season 5: "Honesty is always the best
policy so here goes. When it the decision was made to follow the story
telling that would take us to a 'final conflict' we found it impossible to
break away from the story arc that had been layed down. Therefore, Liam's
character followed its destiny."

* On Richard Chevolleau's status in Season 5: "He played a pivotal role in
season four and any appearance he makes in our series is always an asset to
our story telling. But unfortunately we have not made plans to contract him
as a series regular".

* On Kevin Kilner's status in Season 5: "Yes...Boone will be back. Yes,
Kevin Kilner will reprise his role as Boone."

* On the number of episodes Kilner will appear in: "Due to legal reasons we
cannot confirm how many episodes he will be in. But I can tell you, it will
be more than one."

* On Von Flores' status in Season 5: "Sandoval (Von Flores) will have a
large presence in Season 5. He's a wonderful actor and his character is very
strong."

* On Jayne Heitmeyer's status in Season 5: "Jane has always been seen as a
lead figure in our series starting with season three. She continues that
role in season five."

* On whether Jayne Heitmeyer's character will be sporting the Lara Croft
look next season: "Jayne is a dedicated actress who has her own unique
costumes for her character. She has left the corporate world in season five
to engage in the final conflict with the aliens."

* On the Season 5 story arc: "We have spent many months creating the 5th
season arc. As most of you know, the Taelons destiny is fore told in
previous seasons. The joining of Atavus and Jaridians is a large part of the
5th season story line." ...and..."The Taelons and the Jaridians merged in
order to survive. We are following that course." ...and... "I am very
excited about the story telling in season five. We have stayed true to the
mythology of this wonderful show and the arc for season five is very cool."
...and..." the series finale holds a very important message and will resolve
the five season arc and send our characters off on a new adventure."
...and... "...we have no intention of precluding the creation of spin offs."

* On the fate of the Taelons and Jaridians and Atavi (oh my!): "The six
Taelons represented the core energy of the whole race, merging with the
Jaridians guaranteed the survival of both species in a new form." ...and...
" I hope that all our fans will enjoy following the development of the
Atavus and their rich complexity."

* On whether there will be more alien tech: "The Taelons evolve into a new
race as foretold in previous seasons. The new race will have their own
technology."

* On whether there will be attention given to character development and
consistency: "Yes, we are very pleased with the character developments for
season five." ...and... "Television series are about characters. We watch
these shows because it is fun to invest in these characters. When they are
changed or tampered with we don't like it. I'm for consistency and great
characters. We will make an effort to be more true to that philosophy in the
future."
