Thought I should mention that converting to RAID 1 breaks the pretty RRD graph
for disk access. The problem lies in that it is looking for the essential
/dev/md becuase of the code chunk...
my ($dev, $ino, $mode, $nlink, $uid, $gid, $rdev, $size,
$atime, $mtime, $ctime, $blksize, $blocks) = stat("/dev/root");
my $major = $rdev >> 8;
my $minor = 0;
Under raid this returns 9 0 where 9 is in fact the md devices but there is no 0
so nothing gets used.
Here some /proc/diskstats
8 0 sda 59501 3220 1312936 601612 9133635 20440298 236850362 60553304 0

9 1 md1 62 0 1716 0 2 0 10 0 0 0 0
9 4 md4 112554 0 2332314 0 27168310 0 217346480 0 0 0 0
9 3 md3 12796 0 319554 0 649963 0 5199704 0 0 0 0
9 2 md2 57 0 456 0 56 0 448 0 0 0 0
One solution would be to grab all the disks [major 8] and total up the data
from minor 0 and 16.
Just thought I bring it before RAID 1 gets into main stream use.
