Hello Why is not the VMWare tools package included in the VMWare image og Endian? It is hopeless for normal users to compile VMWare tools package, since you need development (and space on disk) to be able to compile it.
I especially would like to see the vmxnet drivers instead of standard drivers. The standard drivers no included will limit firewall throughput to 100Mbit, changing them to vmxnet will give you Gigaspeed or atleast what your CPU can handle. Another problem you will have with VMware is that the firewall will timedrift if no NTP is installed. VMWare tools can also compensate for this by syncing against host system.
