endian 2 respins is just a rebuild of the iso to try to solve some
problems booting the CD in some machines, it doesnt update any packages
from endian 2

for a real update (say 2.1) its still unknown how to do it,
but probably it will use the backup item in the GUI, reinstall and
then put the restore...

if you have changed things in the distro, probably the safer
way is to install a temporary machine (no hardware? use a virtual
machine like vmware or qemu), migrate the changes to the new test
machine and tune up, format and reinstall the old machine and move
the changes back to the reinstalled machine

with luck rpm -Uvh will be possible, but is up to endian

good luck

Naturally the common people don't want war... but after all it is the
leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a
simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or
a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.
Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of
the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are
being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and
exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.
