Not sure of the impact on Endian but I picked up this note off the MailScanner. "If anyone is still seeing this problem, we found that it's fixed by force reinstalling the clamav perl module. According to the clamav developers: Due to the changes in libclamav, 0.88.7 is not binary compatible with previous versions. To solve the issues you have to recompile all the software which is linked against libclamav." So it does look like there is something funky about ClamAV 0.88.7 which couold cause some errors. My advice is if you seem to have any trouble after you upgrade use "rpm -e --nodeps" to remove the 0.88.7 then run rpm -Uvh to restore 0.88.6 you'll have to copy /etc/clamav/*.conf.rpmsave back to the freshclam.conf clamd.conf files. Sometime in the next 48 hours I'll try to run a virus test on each part of the system [smtp/pop3/http] I do know that it works fine with Frox/ftp but that uses clamdscan so it makes sense. -Mike ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
