Subject: EFW-user mail-list regularly disabled

About once a week my efw-user-email is disabled due to excessive bouncing of
efw-user-email. Sometimes the message that the efw-user-email is disabled does
not arrive either. Every time I checked my mailbox and every time I found this
50MB box for only 10% filled. I receive mail from many lists, and neither of
them is showing comparable behaviour. Untill now, the examples of this
bouncings that I asked for from the efw-mailmaster did not arrive, so I could
not investigate what is causing the problem.

FYI, my ISP's mail servers (domain tiscali.nl; servers mail-mx-00.tiscali.nl
and mail-mx-01.tiscali.nl) do not provide an SPF record, and may have the
following problem:
"WARNING: One or more of your mailservers is claiming to be a host other than
what it really is (the SMTP greeting should be a 3-digit code, followed by a
space or a dash, then the host name). If your mailserver sends out E-mail using
this domain in its EHLO or HELO, your E-mail might get blocked by anti-spam
software. This is also a technical violation of RFC821 4.3 (and RFC2821 4.3.1).
Note that the hostname given in the SMTP greeting should have an A record
pointing back to the same server. Note that this one test may use a cached DNS
record.

mail-mx-00.tiscali.nl claims to be host mail-in7.tiscali.nl [but that host is
at 195.241.79.140 (may be cached), not 195.241.79.130].
mail-mx-01.tiscali.nl claims to be host mail-in4.tiscali.nl [but that host is
at 195.241.79.168 (may be cached), not 195.241.79.131]."

This looks like a too primitive implementation of load-levelling for the main
mailservers to me.

My ISP's servers also seem not to be fully compliant with RFC2821, since they
give a code 452 after buffering only 25 recipients in stead of the 100
recipients required by the RFC

Any documented help and comment from efw-users, that have had the same problem
or are just knowledgable about smtp behaviour, would be appreciated, since my
ISP is very convinced of its own infallability against a totally wrong rest of
the world (or just plain stupid if you prefer that).

Mees de Roo.
