hi, I have a mailserver in the orange, with a private ip address. EFW (2.1) is configured to be a transpatent proxy for this host, so i did: * Network-> Edit Hosts (private address and the hostname FQDN) * Proxy -> SMTP -> Advanced -> SMTP Helo Name (FQDN) * Proxy -> SMTP -> Domains (private address and mail domain)
But there is a problem with that, because the proxy sends its own hostname as helo instead of the name of the mail servers name. smtp_helo_name in /etc/postfix/main.cf is ok, but the postfix sends $myhostname (default) which is not ok for gmx and others, so i cannot receive email from these. Did I something wrong? My workaround was to add a line consisting of the myhostname=[mailservers FQDN] to /etc/postfix/main.cf possibly also to /etc/postfix/main.cf.tmpl of /etc/postfix/main.cf.default Please check whether this is an issue an send this to developers. cheers Jaroslaw ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
