I just discovered Endian last week and am trying to configure it
to my needs for testing. I like the idea of being able to eventually
purchase a small appliance for home. So far, I have been able to do
everything I need except configure Endian for my email setup. Here is
my problem.
My ISP blocks INBOUND port 25 (and OUTBOUND port 25 to anything
other then their own SMTP server). My work around is this... My
Dynamic DNS host receives my mail and sends it to my server on port
465, an unblocked inbound port. In turn, to send email out, I use my
ISP's SMTP server as a smart host.
I see there is a smart hose option in Endian. The problem is, I
can't seem to figure out how to change the INBOUND SMTP port to be
465, rather then 25. I still want Endian to send email OUTBOUND to my
smart host on port 25. I know I could do this via firewall rules,
but, then I loose the SMTP filtering and virus scanning.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!
Bryan
