Hi @ all !

Well, as i described in my first posting which is
meanwhile obsolete :) i'm using a xen-debian system.

So i can connect to my efw and configure it.
Therefore some basic infos:
green-net: 192.168.1.0
domU-mainsrv: 192.168.1.200 <- has the bind9 & dhcp
service for the local LAN, which i configured snd both
work fine
domU-efw21: 192.168.1.201
and the netmask is regular 255.255.255.0
the router-entry in the /etc/hosts is 192.168.1.201 =
teh EFW
If u need some further informations for helping me,
please let me know !

Well the problem is as follows ...
-> I just can't connect to the outside world from the
green LAN.
When i type a address like www.heise.de into the
address-bar of the internet-explorer it shows me at
the bottom bar that the name is resolved into a
IP-address...
i could verify that for several addresses ;)
But nothing else happens ... just a "timeout" aka no
possible connection ...

When i execute a traceroute www.whatever.com from the
commandline @ domU-efw21 it shows me the hops and all
seems fine.
But when i do the same from the domU-mainsrv it only
shows me the domU-efw21 (with reply ;) ) and then it
hangs up ...

So please tell me your thoughts about that.
Is it rather a basic network conflict ?!
Or do i have to change sth. in the efw-configuration
?!
As i said, if u need any more information just tell
me. I'll give u any information i can get!

Please help me anyhow ...

Regards,
funki
