Dear all, now i'm running clamd 0.90.3 on my endian 2.1 Summarizing, the solution I adopted is:
1. (Thanks to Mike Tremaine) Upgrade clamav+havp+perl in "one line": rpm -Uvh http://www.stellarcore.net/downloads/efw2.1-updates/clamav-0.90.3-0.endian12.i386.rpm http://www.stellarcore.net/downloads/efw2-updates/havp-0.86-1.endian8.i386.rpm http://www.stellarcore.net/downloads/efw2-updates/perl-Mail-Clamav-0.20-0.endian0.i386.rpm 2. (Thanks to Manuel Manetta) Manually apply changes according to the errors results of /etc/init.d/clamd start and /etc/init.d/freshclam Recurse command->edit config files until there are not errors Remember to apply changes to clamd.conf.tmpl and freshclean.conf.tmpl viceversa the changes will be lost after any relstart of the services. 3. Reboot the firewall, if the "Virus scanner" service is down and the virus database update does not work go to point 2.
