Hi

I would like some advice on the setup of my home network. I have an
endian firewall with 3 nics, of which I am using 2 nics currently (1
red, 1 green).

Green is a home network of 4 pcs.

I now have a NAS box that I will be using for streaming AV to the pcs in
the green zone. Due to cabling constraints in the house and a lack of
spare switch ports, I would like to use the spare nic on the firewall to
connect the NAS.

I thought I would just attach the NAS to the spare nic using ethernet
cross-over and then configure another green, or use the blue zone.

Trouble is, I've tried both these scenarios and cannot manage to get it
working. I can see the link is up on nic3, but cannot ping the NAS
device at all. When I had the nics as 2 greens, the NAS had an address
from the green zone range. When I configured the spare nic as blue, I
used a seperate subnet.

Should I be going about this differently? Am I missing something?
Advice greatly appreciated.
