I haven't followed that thread, but I am assuming you want to access NAT 
services
which are behind efw from the LAN. This doesn't work ?

If so, can you map the public IP to the internal IP of the server who is serving
the NAT services ?

I had to do this as I used m0n0wall (don't beat me up guys) and that solved my
problem. I am using fixed IPs for the LAN, you are using DHCP and that will be 
than
even easier for you.
