I'm asking if anyone could help let me know if Endian is capable of the
following. Further if anyone can recommend a consultant for endian
customisation, we may be looking to contract such a person.
We are looking for a firewall to be used in schools with the following
features.
MUST: Be able to identify the browser based on the User Agent. Restrict all
browsers except for one allowed custom browser.
MUST: If a restricted browser is found to send a simple page back to the
client informing them about where to download the only valid browser.
MUST: Be able to allow other browsers access to some white listed sights
(e.g. Windows Update, AntiVirus update)
DESIRABLE: Can work in Transparent (Bridged) mode to co-exist with existing
router/firewall.
MUST: Can lock down other application ports (anything but
HTTP/HTTPS/POP3/SMTP)
MUST: Can support from 5-150 users.
MUST: Is cost effective as will be implement in many schools.
