No need to release, the Actiontek will just ask for a lease and get
one, which
could be the same IP as you currently have.

Hi; this is my first question to this group. Yep; I searched for the answer,
but didn't find it...so now I'm asking. :-)
I'm experimenting with Endian and need to revert back to my original setup
for a few days. I'm running Verizon FIOS, and the original setup is an
Actiontec router. When I installed Endian as the firewall, I basically did
an ipconfig /release from the UI of the Actiontec router, then turned off
that router's ability to grab an IP from Verizon. After that, I unplugged
the ethernet cable going from the FIOS ONT to the Actiontec, and plugged it
into the Endian red interface. Endian red picked up a DHCP address, and
away I went.
My question is, now that I need to revert back for a few days, how do I
release the IP address from the Endian UI so I can plug back into the
Actiontec? (Yes, I realize that I need to enable the Actiontec to grab a
DHCP addy first...)
Thanks!
Bill
