Hi Kenneth,

Why would you want to ping the webserver? If you do portforwarding of 
the webservice to the webserver  (expose the webserver on port 80 to the 
internet) you can easelly check if the host is alive by just requesting 
a (simple) page. You also might try to do portforwarding of the ICMP 
packages.... If you have more then one public IP-address you should 
probably give the webserver a public IP-number in the DMZ.
