Hello List,

I just discovered Endian, and it looks like a great product. I am using it in
place of another linux-based firewall solution to provide internet access and
filtering for a school.

I have a non-transparent proxy setup with Active Directory authentication. It
works great for my Windows clients, NTLM authentication works without prompting
for IE and Firefox.

The Macintosh client side is a different story. Safari and Firefox both require
the user to authenticate when they access a filtered website. I've been looking
for a way to enable NTLM authentication for these clients... has anybody on
this list had any luck doing this?

Also, I'm trying to figure out how the proxy settings can allow me to do a few
special things: For example I want all users to be blocked from Twitter.com,
except for a specific user who will update the Twitter page for our school. I
attempted to make a special Access Policy for the user, but it didn't seem to
work:

Policy: Unfiltered Access
Source: Any
Destination: twitter.com
Authgroup/-user: mross
When: Always
Useragent: Any

This policy is just above the filtering policy (which includes a custom
blacklist of twitter.com) but it does not seem to work. am I doing something
wrong?

Thanks for any help.
