Not quite what you asked for, but it might help: In the past I've been using (Redhat-) EL4-rpms for NRPE (nagios-nrpe, nagios- plugins and tcpwrapper were needed) on efw 2.2 sucessfully to monitor some EFWs using Nagios. (You haven't told use, which version of efw you are using...) Maybe you could use some EL4-rpms for munin-node?
