Yes, the enterprise edition of EFW supports a captive portal - but not 
the community edition. I'm not sure if this was clear in the prior post.

You can't authenticate into an LDAP system, and this is because the 
hotspot was intended for hotspot/cafe applications where the users would 
be itinerant.  If the application was for a more regular group of 
people, such as staff in an office, then the standard EFW Content 
Filtering authentication will support LDAP (as will OpenVPN connections)

There is support for Radius, and there is a discussion about this at the 
Security With Passion website, under Features and Functionality -

Authentication on the hotspot automatically allows content filtering to 
be applied to hotspot users, although you can select what level of 
filtering is enforced.
