Yes, the enterprise edition of EFW supports a captive portal - but not the community edition. I'm not sure if this was clear in the prior post.
You can't authenticate into an LDAP system, and this is because the hotspot was intended for hotspot/cafe applications where the users would be itinerant. If the application was for a more regular group of people, such as staff in an office, then the standard EFW Content Filtering authentication will support LDAP (as will OpenVPN connections) There is support for Radius, and there is a discussion about this at the Security With Passion website, under Features and Functionality - http://www.securitywithpassion.com.au/index.php/component/option,com_agora/Itemid,146/id,498/task,topic/ Authentication on the hotspot automatically allows content filtering to be applied to hotspot users, although you can select what level of filtering is enforced. Rafael, if you are having trouble buying Endian, then let me know...we'd be more than happy to help you out! regards Livio -- Livio Mazzon | CEO Veritech Corporation Pty Limited p. 02 6964 5377 m. 0428 235 871 http://www.veritechcorp.com.au 102 Ortella Street Griffith, NSW, 2680 Australia ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Efw-user mailing list Efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/efw-user
