Hello, I do not use SIP proxy.
Here we have a network with about 50 IP phones that use a foreign carrier as a gateway. We have been using Endian Firewall 2.4.1 as server and have no problems falling. We have a very good dedicated link 10 mb 8 mb (data) and 2 mb (voice). The only thing I did was fully release the IP ports with a rule Outgoing traffic from Green to Red interface, TCP + UDP/5060:5070. OK, it worked and is working without releasing the IPs of IP phones. I hope I have helped you, Nelson... SIP proxy issue Hey, I've got a machine that I can load 2.4.1 on and at least give this upgrade a shot. So, how about if I take some of these suggestions that many very kind people have offered me here and try that. Also, I'll maybe make a chart of my current setup, and show it here, and maybe that will help a bit more. I certainly do appreciate all of the help from all of you. The system is working about 90% of the time...it's just that 10% when the IP phones start looking for a SIP server and can't find it that is the issue. Not sure I mentioned it in my last post, but I've also increased the IP lease times and what's interesting is that all other non-phone devices still work, so it's just the phones that loose their settings. Internet, and mail are not affected. Somewhere I read that it is possible to add config code somewhere in the EFW interface to help a phone not loose a connection, but couldn't seem to dig up any kind of info on how that script should be constructed and written. As mentioned, I'll get back to this here soon with how my network is configured currently. Many thanks once again, you folks are lifesavers, -g Matt Hayes wrote: > On 03/17/2011 05:51 PM, Kevin Murphy wrote: > >> SIP proxy has been removed from version 2.4.1 so if he is using the sip >> proxy I don't see how that will help! >> >> Sent from my HTC Desire HD >> >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: Nelson (Hotmail) [nelsonfi...@hotmail.com] >> Received: 17/03/2011 21:48 >> To: efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net >> Subject: [Efw-user] RES: Help!
