My 4 years experience in developing Chinese online systems and websites using UTF-8: definitely no problem! Some webdev & web designer don't use UTF-8 for Chinese simply because they are afraid of potentional compatibility issues that doesn't exist! I'd also say Chinese traditional also have no problem with UTF-8. Both Chinese simplified and Traditional switched to UTF-8 on their own lang files about two years ago. > > As for the phpgw -> egw transition in langfiles, i would say: just go ahad! > > cu > conny > > Oscar Manuel Gómez Senovilla schrieb: > > Hi, all. > > > > > > This mail is just to get an idea about possible future plans (1.6? 2.0?) > > and/or just make suggestions. > > > > The main trigger of this is (at least) some issues about asking to > > switch some languages to utf-8.
