Hi, all.

There's some discussion in the spanish list about jpgraph license. It's
plain that the distributed version with egw (1.5.2) is gpl, but to use
jpgraph with php 5 it seems that a jpgraph 2.x is required, but the 2.x
series is not under the gpl, but qpl, and *it seems* that
"non-commercial" use is allowed to fall under the qpl.

I'm not at all a license expert, but I find some ambiguous points (maybe
not ambiguous to an expert). It looks like "if it is bundled with an
open source package, and you abide by the open source license, then it
should be OK", but point 2.10 in the jpgraphp FAQ at
http://www.aditus.nu/jpgraph/jpgraphfaq.php says something different.

The problem is that "binding" egw gantt reports to jpgraph *and*
"encouraging" to upgrade when the report is first viewed, may lead to
problems to companies not aware of a possible legal problem, and not
willing to pay for a jpgraph license. This could stop egw from being
used in many companies.

Regards.
