Hello there,

I talked to another student here today about eiffel-libraries. Since he
had enough with all the library-crap they have to use at school he was
glad to here, that something else exists... But after half an hour he
came back and said: "Hey, I tried to compile 30 examples and succeeded
with only one (in eiffel-cairo), this is not better then what I'm used
to."

Even though I think it is more important to work on the libs itself then
on the examples, but with the current state we chase away potential
users and developers before they're convinced, that it's worth using the
library wrappers.

I suggest (again) to introduce some way to assure that only compilable
code is checked in. If you want, I'll write some script, which checks
out the code and compiles it once a day. And then send a mail, if the
compilation fails.

What do you think?

Rapha
