Yes, care would have to be taken. But I wouldn't go as far as not using
3rd party classes. Perhaps simply asking the author if it works with
EJB, or preferring OpenSource classes would be a good start.

what will happen is that SecurityExceptions will be thrown. Whether you
catch these or let them through to the container is up to you.
