Hi Nittle.
There has been a recent thread on this list about resources/containers - you can
check the archive one java.sun.com to see the history of that thread.
Basically, a resource is something outside the EJB container which services
requests on behalf of the EJB. Resources have higher priviledges and
do not operate under the same restrictions as EJBs. Typically, the JDBC
connector pool is an example of this, so are any 'startup classes' run by
the application server on bootstrap.
